It was the first time the world got to see Franklin up close and personal since her Dec. 2 surgery.

The 18-time Grammy Award winner said she "loved" the salute, which opened the show.

Having known for several weeks that the 'Second Chance' singer was facing some challenges in regards to his sobriety, his label Geffen Records has now confirmed and issued a statement about DeBarge seeking treatment.

"I hate to disappoint my fans but it is necessary for me to take the time to work on me so that I may continue to sharemy music and my story with everyone. I thank everyone in advance for their prayers and well wishes and hope that you will respect my privacy during this time," stated DeBarge.

The singer was slated to appear on the R&B star Kem's 'Intimacy Tour' with Ledisi, which kicks off on Feb. 17 in Houston.

Halle Berry's Ex-Husband Engaged to Prince's Ex-Wife.........

In an unusual case of celebrity wife swap, Halle Berry's ex-husband, R&B singer Eric Benet, announced that he and Prince's ex-wife, Manuela Testolini, are engaged.

According to People magazine, Benet popped the question to the Canadian-born Egyptian and Italian beauty last November after playing a love song from his new CD.

"During a romantic dinner I decided to finally let Manuela hear 'Never Want to Live Without You,' a song off my new album that I had written for her," Benet says to People. "I sang it to her, then got down on one knee and proposed."

The two have been dating for three years and met at a charity event.

 It's been confirmed: R&B singer Monica Arnold has tied the knot with L.A. Laker Shannon Brown in a secret ceremony that possibly took place months ago. Rumors swirled that the pair had already jumped the broom this past November, when earlier this week Brown, 25, was captured on video discussing the Lakers win over the Knicks, wearing what appeared to be a wedding band. All the buzz and secrecy led Brown to finally admit on video to hiphoponstoptv.com that Monica, 30, is indeed his wife.
