Slimm popped the question to the 46-year-old 'Curb Your Enthusiasm' star while the two were staying at the Ritz Carlton in South Beach, Fla., on Dec. 26.
"I waited for God to send me a man, and he's a good Southern man," the Indiana-bred actress said of Slim in a previous interview.
